About Brightwater

Welcome to Brightwater Bernese Mountain Dogs!  Bernese Mountain Dogs have been a part of our lives since 1992.   Our dogs are members of our family and live with us in our home in Northern VA.

Our dogs are first and foremost members of our family who influence much of our lives and activities, while greatly enriching our lives!  We are active in AKC conformation and obedience. 

We are active supporters of the breed and participate in club activities, health research and education. Bob is currently serving as Treasurer of the Potomac Valley Bernese Mt Dog Club and Georgeann has served as President and Secretary of the Regional Club, served as a Director and is currently the President of the Bernese Mt Dog Club of America. We are both members of the Bernese Mt Dog Club of America. We are constantly learning and working hard to improve our breeding program; focusing on health, type, temperament and soundness. 

Our goal:

To breed healthy Bernese Mountain Dogs according to the BMDCA Breed Standards for health, type and temperament and to place those we breed in loving,lifelong homes.   

Our Philosophy:

We undertake the breeding of these wonderful companions to maintain the Bernese Mountain Dog AKC Type Standards and will continue to strive to improve the health and longevity within our breeding program.   We take this responsibility seriously, vowing to remain vigilantly available to and forthright with those that we carefully place our Berners with. We are a lifelong resource for our puppy owners and available to answer questions and concerns.
